It can be a little confusing to get the MAC Address of the ISAM appliance network interfaces, which is particularly useful in virtualised environments. I’ve been in circumstances where you want to add/remove networking interfaces, but the order in which they are described in VMWare rarely corresponds to the order they are assigned when the operating system detects them.
So here is a quick tip to determine the Networking MAC address:
On the ISAM LMI Appliance dashboard (The appliance homepage), there is an “Interfaces” twisty. In that section, it will display the available networking interfaces, and their corresponding MAC addresses!
